The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, first published in September 2021, follows third-year PhD candidate Olive Smith. In an attempt to get her best friend off her back, Olive pretends to be in a relationship with up-and-coming professor Adam Carlsen . . . and – surprisingly – he agrees.

All is going well, until a conference mishap threatens to unravel Olive’s career. When Adam’s support starts to seem like more than a charade, Olive might have to put her own heart under the microscope for once.
